As the season changes, so do the colors of society.
Ruby, bronze leaves glide
stormy gusts to mountain peaks
exploring winter nations
pure as solar eclipses
burn into deeper flurries

Scattered amongst the trees
breezes play with the sunshine;
tickle on fickle little fingertips
of patience

Branches sing sweet melodies
at  winter's promise of snow coming
to meet a warm day as a California night

Faster than months peak
over ice shoulders of silver streams;
loneliness touches the skin
as an acceptable celebration
raises
against the insatiable
autumn breeze
