Have you ever felt Death enter a room? You see his dark figure standing in the doorway; chills run up and down your spine sending goose bumps all over your body. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye he’s at your side; you feel his cold, dead, bony fingers rest on your shoulder, filling your entire body with anxiety. Resistance is no option. He easily over powers you, making you his puppet in every way.

Death comes in a vapid form. He’s not the Grim Reaper that you’ve heard about in stories. He is terror cloaked in elegance, dressed in a black Armani suit with a red tie adorning his neck. Wearing a jet-black cape and carring a titanium cane with a skull topper. His grin is sharp and fille with a lustful thirst. His voice is as soothing as a mother’s to a baby. His words are calming and reassuring. His walk is almost like a beautiful dance; so graceful and enticing. Reality doesn’t hit you until you feel his breath on your neck; then he flashes his dagger like fangs and penetrates your flesh. Once he is in, his venom sends a beautiful sensation throughout your body that numbs all pain and puts you in, what feels like, a completely satisfying coma. Some of his victims don’t make it out alive, but for some reason he withdraws from his feast this time; leaving you the slightest bit of life. He smiles as a thought crosses his devious mind while he takes in your humanly essence and stares admiringly at your facial features. He’s deciding whether or not to keep you as his bride. Finally, after moments filled with fear have passed he makes his decision. He lets you slowly and gracefully slide down until you are cradled in his arms; he bites his wrist and then offers up his healing blood to you. When he makes this offer you do not want to turn it down. Not only are you afraid of dying but you are not ready to die. So you take his offer, in doing so you are saying that you give your life and soul to him and will become his bride.

The transformation that you will now have to endure for the next couple of days, is enough to drive you mad. Your veins feel like they are on fire and you crave to taste the blood of your first unsuspecting victim. Suddenly the urge to kill sends excitement throughout your entire body. The sensation to hunt your first prey comes and goes, but the days seem like they are neverending.

Finally the transformation is complete, your head feels light again and the burning sensation is gone. Once again death enters your room, this time he is welcomed. In a second he is at your bedside gently caressing your pale and lifeless cheek. Though the past two days are a blur, you vaguely remember him tending to your every need.
“My name is Simon. Welcome to your new life.”
