Morning Dove

Morning Dove

My Father passed away today,
he is a part of me.
He taught me how to get along;
to be what I should be.

Now we all will miss him so,
his wisdom and his love;
still he guides us on our way
from Heaven up above.

He left one cold and frosty day,
to quick to say goodbye,
still we knew he loved us all;
it was there in those blue eyes.

As he rose he left a sign,
a message filled with love
with a very special courier;
a single, morning, Dove.
