Wake Me Up When September Ends
November 30, 2007 at 6:52pm
* Oct. 1st, 2007 at 3:48 PM What a month September was. My friday night home away from home (Foundations), a place downtown rented by Murray, got suddenly shut down because someone offered the owner more money per month. I just happened to pop in on what turned out to be the final friday. Some notice they gave Murray too, "Oh yeah, we need your stuff outta here by Sunday", bastards. I'll miss it so much. I'll never forget: ~ Murray's awesome soup. ~ Singing w/ Murr... [Read more]
Say Anything (Else)
November 30, 2007 at 6:51pm
* Sep. 30th, 2007 at 1:43 AM Wow, some people don't know when to take a hint. Tonight I was completely bored at home and thought, hmmm, I wanna go out with the girls but the only person who would be free up until 11 was Alex because the girls were still at work. We ate at Montana's, drew with crayons at the table while I blabbed on to avoid awkward silence. I swear, this guy hardly talks and doesn't blink. I felt so uncomfortable the whole time. He used to be cool to talk to... [Read more]
Boys Don't Like Girls
November 30, 2007 at 6:49pm
* Sep. 28th, 2007 at 2:49 PM Sometimes I really don't understand the motives of men. Summer and fall is the absolute worst time to be a looking single, especially if you're a girl. Men really are like amusement parks. They take you for rides and leave you hanging on for dear life. Then, suddenly, the ride stops, drops you off and leaves to go pick up different passengers. Their logic can just be so mind boggling too. I myself know a few men who have offered me "a good time&#... [Read more]
Orientation, Tried and Trew'd
November 30, 2007 at 6:49pm
* Sep. 7th, 2007 at 11:54 AM Over the month of August, I couldn't wait to get back to school. I had so much energy ready to be channeled into dancing with friends at the Shark Tank. That energy got released last night as old and new friends and I partied to an awesome dj and the Trews! I originally went in the Shark with my friend David F and his obnoxious friend whose name I can't remember. I was in a contest by 91x to name the most Trews songs off their newest album but lost to T... [Read more]
Bang the Doldrums
November 30, 2007 at 6:46pm
* Jun. 29th, 2007 at 1:14 PM It's amazing how perspective can change after a lifestyle transition. Main example being the change in my perspective on my hometown. In high school, I couldn't stand this town. I was consistently bored and wasted many hours of my time walking mindlessly or watching old Simpsons reruns. I wanted nothing more than to quit my terribly slave labour-like jobs, graduate and get out. I considered moving to the city nearby into my cousin's somewhat dirty apar... [Read more]
Never Alone Thanks to the Boys on the Docks
November 30, 2007 at 6:46pm
* May. 31st, 2007 at 8:09 PM Have you ever been in a fight, disagreement or mental grudge that your opponent didn't even know he or she was a part of? It's amazing how fast my mood swings in this way. One day I'm happy as a clam liking a person and missing him, the next day I'm hating him, thinking he's done all this wrong, wrong he didn't even notice he was doing. Last night I had a dream involving him. I don't remember the events but the theme was basically... [Read more]
Superman's Dead
November 30, 2007 at 6:45pm
* May. 26th, 2007 at 11:21 PM It is done. Before it even began, it is done. An invitation, officially broken with lies. Thank goodness for friends. Two of my friends who attended an important event last night witnessed a certain man's presence both there and at the after party and had the decency to tell me. An event to which he invited me a few months ago but then claimed he would not be attending due to having to work, supposedly at a restaurant and with the military. Lying bastard... [Read more]
When You're Gone
November 30, 2007 at 6:44pm
* May. 25th, 2007 at 1:03 PM The kilted angel of my life is gone. All that is left is a stubborn military devil who's to blind to see what's in front of him Either that or he simply does not care what's there. What's there is me. Thankfully, I've reached a mental breakthrough. I'm slowly getting over my feelings. Feelings which were for him. He's leaving for six months. A week ago, that idea would have killed me on the inside until I found out another gir... [Read more]
Lancer Fans! In The Stands!
November 30, 2007 at 6:41pm
*Mar. 11th, 2007 at 11:21 PM Lancer Fans! In The Stands! If You Hear Us! CLAP YOUR HANDS! One of the many cheers I've learned as the newest member of the Spirit Squad. It's so much fun, and no it is not like the cheerleading squad from Bring It On, we don't dress in super short skirts and make pyramids, ha. We have pre-game pizza parties and sit in the crowds with tons of noisemakers, it's just plain awesome. We even got to take a bus trip to cheer on the men's and w... [Read more]
Yuk Yuk Yuk!
November 30, 2007 at 6:40pm
* Nov. 25th, 2006 at 10:44 PM I met Video on Trial's Trevor Boris, yay. The pub held a yukyuks night starring comedians from Video on Trial and knowing the director of entertainment of the pub, she took me into the student government office where the comedians were hiding and I got to hang with them for a bit. They're really cool people. Sabrina Jalees (sp?) was laughing at how the picture of her on the pub poster looked nothing like her, Trevor signed some posters for myself and frie... [Read more]
Theory of a Deadman Comes Alive!
November 30, 2007 at 6:39pm
* Nov. 4th, 2006 at 12:57 AM Boy oh boy, was Theory of a Deadman at the pub last night ever amazing! Well, once it actually happened. ~Got there around 6:30, found Mike and waited in the cold ~Went for a Timmies run while he stayed in line, ~Waited longer with 4 peoples' hands on one cup of hot chocolate, ~Looked in the window of the Theorymobile, saw the drummer? watching a porn like video before switching it to hockey, haha. ~Got inside, listened to some of the opening band while... Diane's Wedding
November 30, 2007 at 6:38pm
* Oct. 22nd, 2006 at 10:45 AM Now that I've finally woken up (10:45am). Diane's wedding yesterday was freaking amazing, the rehearsal was pretty funny too. At the rehearsal, there were 3 other American groomsmen from Wisconsin and one named (Ja)Red (who was drinking) said "In the states, we have sex, drugs and rock and roll, what is there in Canada?" I replied "sex, drugs, rock and roll and hockey" Then he said "In Wisconsin, we have football and a bunc... [Read more]
Year 1 Orientation
November 30, 2007 at 6:36pm
* Sep. 22nd, 2006 at 12:34 AM Wow, just wow. College orientation has been awesome so far but Hedley/Motion Picture Ending's performance at the pub just topped it off completely. At th beginning of the night, I drove the long way to the college thinking I didn't want to be too early, my mistake. I walked to the end of the line of people and could no longer see the college. I was afraid that I would not get in due to it selling out. What I believed to be Hedley's bus was near... [Read more]
Ahhh, the Swelling!!!
November 30, 2007 at 6:34pm
* Aug. 21st, 2006 at 8:02 PM Bah. Surgeries suck dude. I had a jaw surgery last Friday. 4 hours asleep in that operating room. They moved my jaws forward and my chin back, the chin reason I'll never know. I woke up to them literally rolling me onto a second bed which I was stuck on for another 24 hours in a small hospital room with god only knows what hooked up to me. The nurse was supposed to check on me every hour, even the sheet on my door had an hourly checklist for her to mark when s... [Read more]
Meet CureAIDSwear(RED)
November 30, 2007 at 5:05pm
CureAIDSwear(RED) was born on August 4th nineteen lovely years ago in a small town hospital that eventually closed the maternity ward. Her dad was a big cheese in a head office in Oshawa and her mum was a bartender at a hotel business lounge who enjoyed working as a personal trainer as well. She has absolutely no siblings, step-siblings or siblings-in-law. But with three quarters of her mother's side living in the same town, she's grown to have a sister-like friendship with one of her...
