Lonely Sunset

I sat looking up at the clouds and wanted you to be there.

The sunset was breath-taking.

I kept thinking that I needed you there to keep me warm.

The clouds were orange and spread out like foam in the sky.

But the longer I watched, the less orange there was.

It turned pink and just a little orange was glowing from behind the mountains.

After a while, the pink faded away and the clouds had no color.

Just dark, grey clouds.

It was kind of sad to see something so beautiful show up and fade away.

But it was mostly sad because I was sitting there alone and it reminded me of you.
