GOOD INTENTIONS


What is better: to be good
Or, have good intentions?
A body free of disease,
Or, mind free of tensions?

Good intentions alone don’t
Translate into good deeds,
Unless one is conscious of
The spiritual needs.

Though, of having a calm mind,
We may have pretentions,
None without doing good deeds
Can be free of tensions.

Besides a healthy body,
A mind free of tensions,
We need to have good deeds too,
And not mere intentions.
