The Day With Her That Changed My Life Forever

When I walked up that cold stone driveway
i new my life would change
forever
i gently knocked on the door
trying my hardest not to think
of her
37 seconds later
she answered the door
immediately my eyes took all of her in
the perfect form of her body
the beauty of her eyes
the silky flowing hair that fell around her shoulders
the heart-melting smile she wore on her face
the smooth red wood
of the violin she carefully held in her hands
my heart started pounding and i felt faint
i only stood there
staring
unable to talk
listening to the drumming of my heart
thinking
thank god she cant hear this
until she greeted me
a simple hi
and quickly pulled me inside
as i melted while feeling her touch on my arm
for the moment it was there
listen! listen!
she chanted enthusiastically
then she started to play a melody on her violin
so graceful
and beautiful
like she always plays
the best I have ever heard
she just does not realize
how perfect it sounds to me
i watch her seriousness as she plays
and feel a surge of happiness
as i gaze upon how devoted she is to her music
and think
how we share a common interest
after only a short time
she lifts the bow
how was it?
she asks
beautiful
is my answer
and quickly
but not fast enough
she turns away blushing
and i see a fraction of her perfect face
turning a beautiful shade of pink
for awhile
we sit and talk
every moment I am with her
makes my heart beat fiercly
and my body feel strong urges
and senses of completeness
the way i always feel around her
in an long silence
where we both ran out
of things to say
she slowly and shyly
grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers
keeping her eyes focused on her feet
and avoiding my gaze
i just sit back
take in the texture of her skin
how her hand feels
how he fingers fall perfectly into place
with mine
unable to stop myself
i reach over
put my free arm around her waist
and pull her close to me
there we sit
under the darkening sky
fingers intertwined
and bodies held close together
we both sit there
thinking quietly
me storing every second
into my mind
the way she smelled
the way having her close felt
every detail
then we look at each other
our eyes meet
and we gaze into each others eyes
lost in the beauty
when
suddenly
a raindrop falls
it starts to rain
ignorant
and not wanting to move
we sit in the rain
as it slowly begins to fall
drenching us
as if we read each others minds
we both drew close
and our lips met
only for a second
in a first kiss
she whispers
i love you
and i whisper back
i have always loved you
and i always will
my one wish
is to be with you
like this
always
and we draw close again
lips meeting
in the perfect moment
the one that makes my life change
forever
knowing that all good things
must come to an end
we slowly draw back
without a word
and rush inside
moments later
my ride arrives
with another hug
i love you's exchanged
i depart
staring back just before getting in the car
and meet her gaze once more
later that night
i write every moment
the ones i loved so much
into a simple poem
and title it
the day with her
that changed my life
