My blog - aimed at keeping the people who support me updated.
I want to use this as a place that supporters can get important updates on things. I don't know exactly how this will work out at the moment.

Most of my time the last few days have been spent in preparation for Christmas. For instance, this morning I did some *ahem* preparations for my brother's Christmas present. Unfortunately, I can't disclose them as he might see them. But let's just say they're worth a good evil laugh.

I've begun a story as guided by The Writing Assignment. It's the book titled "The End". At the moment, I have only the first chapter done, but it might be worth seeing. Basically, there's a prompt for what I should write for each chapter. If you don't have an account on Writing.com just write to me and I'll give you what you need to see it.

Everyone have a merry Christmas!

Well, that time of year is officially here. Yes, you know what I mean. Exam week!
OH NO!
And then, about a week after that, I have large amounts of family coming, which will be a lot of fun, but won't leave much room for writing.

I haven't forgotten my novel, however, despite NaNoWriMo being over. I've transferred it over to a notebook, where I can write it by hand, and I'm still plugging on it. I've got a nice plot issue or two that I'm trying to ignore at the moment in the hopes of me actually finishing the story.

I've also begun the very beginning stages of revising "A Girl's Best Friend". That means I've printed it out and begun thinking about what I actually want to do with it, because I know it needs a lot of work.

Thanks for your support!

And the winner of my amazing contest to rename my blog that was participated in by oh-so-many people is... my lovely cousin from North Carolina! Her entry was "The Stories of my Life" and was by far the best suggestion I received and I will be switching the name shortly.
Congratulations. You will be receiving the wonderful prize of the sugary variety when you come visit for Christmas.
In other news, I really don't think that my novel will be finished by the end of November, as it's the 28th and I've only written about 6000 words. But that doesn't mean that I'm giving up on the novel. No, things are just getting too interesting for that, so I plan to keep plugging on it, even though NaNoWriMo is nearly over.
If you're looking for something shorter and more complete of mine to read, and maybe even review, I'm putting up a short piece of nonfiction that I wrote for one of my classes. It's called "The Melody Within" and I would love constructive feedback, though it is technically already "published". I'm always looking to improve.
That's about it. I'm hoping to post a little more regularly now that Thanksgiving is over. Thanks for checking in with me. It's greatly appreciated.

I've been insanely busy with homework the last few days, and will continue to be until Thursday.
Until then, my novel word count suffers. Badly.
I'm planning on adding at least a small scene tonight, though.
Other than that, the little piece of nonfiction that I'm working on for class is going well, though I haven't spent tons of time on that either. I've finally figured out what it is actually supposed to be (I hope), so through another revision I go.
Remember to enter that contest! Send me a good name for this blog. Deadline is Nov. 17, you get a small prize, and I already have one good entry courtesy of my cousin.
So, Tallyho!

Alright, everyone. Let's face it. A blog named "Blog" is not that terribly creative.
So I'm establishing a little bit of a contest to find a better name. I know some of you don't have accounts and can't post here, so just email me with a creative name by Saturday, November 17 (or post here if you can), and I'll pick one to be the winner! The winner will receive either 100 gp's or a lollipop as well as recognition here. Let's face it, it's supposed to be fun, and I'm a poor college student. I may even decide to post honorable mentions, depending on what kind of response I get.
In other news, my word count is still rather dismal, but I'm hoping on lots of writing time later in the month.
I've also gotten one good review on my story and am hoping to do some major revision on that after November is over.
I also have a little something I'm working on for class that I'll put up here after I go through the class revision process.
Thank you all for your support, and don't forget to put in something for my contest!

Hey everyone.
My NaNoWriMo word count is officially 5,051. I should be, theoretically, at about 8,335 words.
I did decide to put up a short non-fiction story that I wrote a while back. It's something I think has a lot of potential, but that I know needs some work, so honest feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to revise it after my novel-writing endeavor is completed.
Once again, thank you to everyone supporting me, writing.com member or not!

Hey, everyone. I'm basically starting this because I need your support if I'm going to keep actually writing, which I would like to do. I'm planning on trying to keep this updated with what kind of things I'm working on, answer questions, whatever. Anything you'd like information on, just let me know.
I don't have anything up for people to review yet, because this month I'm doing National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo. I might decide to post something I wrote a while back that I'd like to revise to get some feedback while I'm novelling.
My novel so far is about a girl whose family now thinks she's dead, and she's starting a new life somewhere else under the supervision of the FBI. We'll have to see where that goes.
I'm currently at 4,175 words. I should be at 6,668 by the end of the day, but I doubt that's going to happen.
Feel free to harass me about it.
Thanks for supporting me!
