We are all in this together

You are not original.
You are not unique.
You can't answer any question pertaining to life
If you still have to speak.

You are not something different,
nor something new.
Your friends will tell you anything,
just because they think they need you.

So come now, don't question or hypothesize,
Don't lie or dry your eyes,
Because you're right, there is no point,
and even our rotting suburban carrion one day won't be worth it to the flies.

So the backdrop to all these events of magnitude untold,
is just an illusion upon which all our corrupted dreams unfold.

The drugs we are all taking, red white and blue, cross shaped or round,
just aid the confusion which is hammering our cells back into the ground.

But while we are all still fucking in the mud,
there is one thing thats clear....

As cursed as the crows of an Anciently dreamed Israel,
vilified by the testimonies of a thousand cross bound corpses,
And as lonely as that boy coming down next to a stranger in a stranger town,
And as deceived as that abused Spanish Catholic housewife who toils for celestial rewards never really known,
And as stricken as the cat who loved the executed queen so,
And as confused as the executioner as to why he is even striking such a blow......

We are still all in this nothingness together, and it is that single thought which gives spring to the rivers of justification and meaning that flow from on high....but it is sad to think that these waterways have found such contemptuous channels as pop corporate counter-culture materialism, where not even the kids out the back chilling in their acid induced fish bowls are any less soaked through with the foul waters of our age.

But I am still glad for the company.
