Fighting off a memory
The yelling echoes
inside my mind like a long empty hallway
screaming words into my soul,
ripping me.
Time to run through the park,
jump on a swing high as the clouds.
Slam of a door brings me home again,
his face in mine all red
viens in his skin are fierce!
Go back to the park!
The sun is shining hot on my skin,
swinging up into the clouds hoping
never to come down again.
At the strike the back of his hand,
bringing me into tears.
Going back to the happy place,
the grass is so green there with a fresh smell,
sitting on the swing again.
blood drips from my nose.
play now play harder!
swing into the clouds and stay
The park is where I hide
Home is where I died.
