I have this quiet spot where I go when I feel unneeded, unwanted and I don't know where to go. I've had this spot for years. No one can sell it or steal it, but I will share it.
I'm a little girl again in faded bib overalls, no shirt, no shoes. I'm walking down this dusty hot road to meet my daddy for lunch. I'm walking along watching the dust curl up around my bare feet. I'm tired and dirty but it won't be long now. Then I look up and there he is, a big smile on his tired, dirty face. I reach up my arms and he leans down and picks me up and sets me on the sweaty horse in front of him, he holds me tight and I close my eyes and go to sleep. I'm safe, wated and loved. All is right with my world. I open my eyes and I'm ok for another day, another hour, another minute. I am good to go.
Kids, get yourselves a quiet spot. It works wonders.
