A beautiful butterfly
Soaring in the sky!
So dainty, so fragile
yet, so intensely proud
You bathed and dressed us
with all the love allowed.
You always knew the time
would come
We should have appreciated
and drew from-
Your wisdom and your hope
more
But we didn't know for sure
That you would come and go
so fast
We thought our time with you
would forever last.
You were here for a while
Spreading sunshine with your
smile.
Leaving a memory that seems
to say:
I touched your lives, but cannot
stay.
Your wings give way to your
flight
As you float out of our sight.
You go leaving us left to see
A wonderful person we want to
follow and be.
