This is a Mother's thoughts after the death of a child.
Since My Sons Death, I Wait:

Things are different now.

I no longer believe that the world

Is a forgiving place.

Good luck is only

An empty notion

That innocents wish upon.

Life is what we have.

For how long it is ours,

we do not know.

I talk to myself now, out loud.

I no longer worry,

That someone will see.

In the dark,

I speak to Andy.

I do not hear,

His reply

but

I wait.
