A friend's solemn plea. |
Stars of Heaven Stars of heaven, grant me my wish Let the world be smaller Let fate be as so For when our world turns into a little one Chances of this would grow: My friends, those whom I cherish— I’d meet them again, without much wait Over and over again, without involving The dearest little patience I hold on to. Stars of heaven, hear my plea Knot all roads of life together, Tangle them as balls of yarn. Over another and another below, Crossing another, and another, across For if ends meet, If roads open themselves to another, With welcoming floor mats littered Upon the blessed grounds, Friends will meet, families won’t die Together, traversing life of mild drizzles Embracing the sun’s warmth as one. Stars of heaven, to the heavens I pray May fate be kind to me; hearing the music Of my pleading heart Of my mumbling soul To you I pray, with knees pressed down to earth May you carry me over to the future, To the lives I long to be a part of; May our meeting never cease Oh—I am to miss them so! I am now to be away, may it not be long. I shall, I will, I must! Live my time equipping For a journey back home. My friends, Do wait for me, For I believe and am sure of— We are to meet again. |
