Just a Man

Some day he’ll see.
Some day he’ll know.
Some day he’ll understand…I hope.

There’s so much to say and it’s so sad that he can’t hear,
can’t hear the sadness in my voice.

So much to say about my love,
about my heart,
and about my soul.

How I wish he could sit down and listen to my soul crying out.
I so wish my voice wasn’t falling on deaf ears.

Love is a strange thing.
I’m not weeping or even truly sad,
I’m just so very disappointed.

He doesn’t understand how fragile I am in side.
How the change in his voice or the turn of his head makes my heart plummet.

Some say he just a man,
I disagree,
he’s so much more…
he’s my whole world.
