Off the Beaten Path

My mind is off the
beaten path, my heart
is off the beaten path,
my soul is off
the beaten path. Nothing
about me is normal,
nothing about me says
that I have kept
to roads more frequently
traveled. I am me. Even
in my darkest hours
I keep true to who
I am, who I truly am.
And on this path
I have seen this,
I have discovered
me, myself, and I.
The trifecta of living,
of personal reality.
On this path, I have
gained knowledge. On
this path I have discovered
my mind, my heart,
my soul. My mind is
off the beaten path,
my heart is off
the beaten path, my
soul is off the beaten path.
