Resting Fawn

Under a tree, in the middle of the tall, green and brown grass, lays a small fawn. The fawn is light brown with white spots on its back, fading as they go down the side towards its belly. The baby deer’s head is raised slightly, probably trying to listen to the sounds of its surroundings. The yearlings’ ears are perked and seem to be lined with a darker brown around the edges. The deer’s eyes and nose are a dull black. Its front legs are extended out in front of it, while its hind legs are curled up under it in a laying position. The sunlight is shining through in a few spots, making the grass brighter in some areas.
