Sometimes what you learn as a kid, turns into an addiction
Poker

Did you learn to play cards on daddy’s knee
When you were just a kid?
And scream with joy when you won a hand
Just the way that I did?

That was when I was oh so young
But soon I played alone
Dad wasn’t there to cheer me on
Just me and my friends at home

Now I play at the local boat
With many games to choose
I go alone so no one knows
Just how much I lose

I’ve lost my car my house, my wife.
Working things out is my goal
I liked to see my kids someday
But right now it’s my turn to roll

Did you learn to play cards on daddy’s knee
When you were just a kid
And scream with joy when you won a hand
Just the way that I did
