A moral story about two very different sisters.
                                            "A Valuable Lesson"

Jill and Lily were two notably different sisters. Jill, a very comical and hard working girl, always displayed a beaming smile that revealed teeth captured by pink braces. In contrast, Lily could be found reading a book or listening to music rather than working. Jill and Lily lived with their mother in a small two story frame house. Each Spring all three enjoyed cleaning the house together. One cool Spring day the two girls began cleaning the house while their mother ran errands. As soon as her mother pulled out of the drive, Jill hastily began cleaning. Lily would do a little on something, leave it and start something else; eventually she disappeared. Jill stayed
hard at work. She bustled around the house vacuuming, dusting, doing the laundry, finishing the kitchen that Lily had left unfinished, and tidying up anywhere she spied a mess. After completing all the cleaning, Jill stepped back to admire the result of her hardwork. Counters gleamed in the kitchen. All laundry had been neatly folded and put away. Everything appeared ship shape and ready to be inspected by her mother. Jill raced upstairs to make sure her room was tidy. She spotted Lily reading and listening to music. Jill heard their dogs barking, and after glancing down at her watch, she realized her mother must be back from running erands. Jill hurriedly checked to make sure everything was absolutely spotless. In the meantime Lily dashed outside to greet her mother. As soon as her mother stepped out of the car, Lily began bragging on the marvelous job they had done on cleaning the house. Their mother complemented on how clean the kitchen looked, and
Lily hastily stated that Jill helped a little with that job. Later that evening Lily hesitantly apologized for taking credit for work she had not done. She explained to her mother that Jill had done all the work. Jill thanked Lily for apologizing and reassured her it was ok. Lily, from then on, always helped Jill clean the house. Lily definitely  learned a valuable lesson about diligence.
