Never forget the fallen ones
Pray for those alive
Many will be affected
When two worlds collide

Sometimes we take for granted
The freedoms we have here
Others are not so fortunate
They live in constant fear

Never knowing what's up ahead
Or what's sneaking up behind
They are always on their guard
When our lives are on the line

So many have left us
Many families have grieved
They have given their lives
To save you and me

So thank them every day
For the job that they do
To the soldiers who protect us
