Beyond the Moon

Luna traveled far last evening,
always dancing to her own tune.
Went right by us without speaking,
flew way past the beautiful Moon.


Holding hands with the Dream Master,
I heard him say “We’ll be there soon.”
Up they rose above the rafters,
flew way past the beautiful Moon.


Watched ‘til the pair was out of sight,
then the sky turned a light maroon.
They’d not return ‘til morning’s light,
flew way past the beautiful Moon.
