A Darkened Feast

An unending dinner of darkness is what I have fed upon.
Through years of torment and disregard.
The light of the afterlife forever taunts me,
as the life fades from the other children who surround me.
Here lies my supper of sadness,
growing colder in the blackness is where I'll find my plate.
Carefully covered under a shroud of deceit,
the little ones surrounding me shiver and shake.
Drenched by our captors fluids,
we all drown deeply inside the adult mind.
Forever forced to carry on,
soley to feed them their so cherrished plate.
