It was stifling hot, unbearably humid and deathly quiet on the ground; this truly was a different Earth. I felt as if all of my surroundings were aware of my arrival. I could not wrap my mind around the fact that this was once Orange County. The dense forest made it impossible to fly through, so if I wanted to truly see this New Earth, I would have to turn the anti-gravity vest off, land, and make my way through this plethora of an Amazon that is now called NOC. Jaiya said this was the only way to see what she’s talking about; Bio-terror, no wonder the buildings now float and travel with the wind. This camp, an expansion of the Giotechs is reaching too close to an anchor, albeit well hidden… I am beginning to feel I shouldn’t have raised my hand so quickly, but with everything my sponsors have done for me, I felt the need to volunteer. Besides everyone has told me “No way, not for a million credits,” a credit I have learned is about hundred of my dollars. Anyways, here goes I can’t really get hurt; this is virtual… isn’t it?
