The idea for this poem came from a book I read titled 'Dream Man' about a psychic empath that picks up the emotions of a serial killer. She witnesses the murders through his eyes.
DREAM MAN
by
E C Wesch
In fearless contempt his anger soars,
It bristles with pointed barbs.
While from his throat a lion roars,
Expelling foul guttering sobs.
Within her realm of silent dreams,
In peaceful slumbering pose.
Silence is shattered by the screams,
Of a beautiful fallen rose.
Each slice of life eviscerates,
and multiplies the gore.
Behind her eyes it desecrates,
her feelings from his score.
