Musings on the modern state of consciousness with a quote from Twain.
I am the post post-modern subject.
I have grown up believing that my entire reality is nothing but a social construct made up of complex symbols.  Once I was trained to analyze and deconstruct the meanings and inter-relations of those symbols, I deconstructed my world and my self into nothing.
I am left with nothing.  I myself am nothing, and like at the end of Twain's "Mysterious Stranger":
"There is no God, no universe, no human race, no earthly life, no heaven, no hell.  It is all a dream--a grotesque and foolish dream.  Nothing exists but you.  And you are but a thought--a vagrant thought, a useless thought, a homeless thought, wandering forlorn among the empty eternities!"
