A narrative, A poem,A story. Centers on a simple girl, who steps out of her world.
Let the world pass us by,
while we sneer at the faceless strangers.
We bask in the immortality of our love,
cherishing each other to the utmost fullest.
We play, touch, and tease,
while the band plays our love song.

I pass by my once-beloved friends,
without sparing a glance.
staring at each other's eyes.
I see only the hazel brown eyes,
and the darker lashes which fringe them.
You, too, stare back with an point intensity which almost scares me.
You're going to devour me whole with only your eyes.

A tango plays.
Our dance of desire.
Pupils diluting from lurid pleasure.
Our play of words, body and eyes.
Sweat glistens.

The song ends abruptly, on a sour note.
I look away from your eyes in confusion.
As the heat of your gaze melts away,
so does the feeling of your hands on my hips, once swaying.
I step one step back. so do you.
You smile gently at me, while i shake my head.
As I attempt to take your hand, it disappears.
In disbelief, I see that I'm surrounded by strangers.

Confused, I flee from the nightmarish club.
My skirt flying up as my manicured feet skims the panelled floor.
I remember your mysterious smile.
I place my fingertips to my lips, a crimson blush staining my cheeks.
My vision blurred, I stumble on the steps.

I wipe away the unblemished red lipstick from my lips.
I shake away the ornaments decorating my hair, and tie it into a ponytail.
I unhook my glittery star-shaped necklace, and tuck it away.
I revert back to being a ordinary, countryside girl, with hay stuck in my hair.

A secret smile tugs away at my lips.
I have a secret.
