THIS WRITING IS IN MEMORY OF 15 YEAR OLD MEGAN CHURCHILL, VICTIM OF AUTO ACCIDENT.
HEADING HOME

No bags to pack,
no ticket to punch,
on this final trip to destiny,
Relaxed in my seat I watch the floating
clouds outside the window dissipating
into the blue abyss.
Slowly my transit comes to a halt.
A friendly stranger,
stellar and surrounded in celestial light,
offers me his hand.
Soon we come upon a pair of
golden gates as tall as infinity.
Brilliant shafts of light filter through
as the stranger opens the gate to
the promised land.
Please don't be afraid anymore.
Please don't cry anymore.
For I am safe and I am warm.
I'm very much still with you.
Watching over you as you once watched
over me.
I'm home.

FOR MEGAN CHURCHILL
REST IN PEACE
