After the Boen war, Heinrich returns to his studies only to end up in another entanglement |
Heinrich was a civilian again. Although he killed a suicide bomber that threatened wipe out his platoon and a sniper that killed his commanding officer his deeds went unnewarded. The now deceased Lieutenant Cronsnak was right, conscripts or former conscript soldiers like Heinrich are never in the spotlight. As days went by, as Heinrich continued his studies in School he often times thought about his days in battle, sometimes he missed the sounds of explosions, gun fire, rapid gun fire and the sounds of tanks and armored cars rolling on the ground and military aircraft flying overhead. The closest he would get to those bittersweet memories were when he would hear the sounds of diesel powered semi trucks drive by his dorm or whenever he would hear news helicopters or passenger planes fly by. Heinrich was studying with his former comrade-in-arms Rian. After the war, both Heinrich and Rian had aged considerably, Heinrich was growing facial hair and would soon have to shave regularly. Rian has gotten taller but still had his shiny blonde hair. One day, Heinrich was in the library, he stumbled upon a book about a large economic superpower at the time, the country was Ninyezhong. Interested with the beautiful Asiatic architectures on the book's cover he picked it up and began reading it, the picture were enough to make Heinrich instant |
