well, i learned about it in my english class last fall...it was an honors class so the professor was trying to get us to expand our writing and was always giving us new ways to do so...prose-poetry was one thing she showed us....i'm not sure if it's called prose-poetry, but that what she called it
basically, it's the style of poetry written by the chilean poet, naruda....look him up and read some of his stuff for the real thing, he's pretty good....but anyway, he poetry combines aspects of prose into his poetry, so it's quite a unique style, it's not quite poetry....there's a huge emphasis on adjectives, conflicting ideas, it's all about playing with the reader's mind, the rhythm speeds up, slows down, there's soft words, then light words, it's kinda like a rollercoaster of words and ideas, so of course they're fun pieces to both read and write!
review this stuff please, since it's pretty experimental, i'd simply love to hear what people think of it
