Ponderings on if I should withold the gospel just to not offend some people.
Can we argue on such a delicate taboo
"God says this" and "God says that"
and "God likes me much more than you"?
and "God sees where your heart is at."

We attempt to grasp his power
and manipulate his loving grace
as if he's changing by the hour
and a hypocritical two face.

We say "He loves the lost sheep."
and so we condemn them with guilt
I'm sure we make God weep
our hands on the hated sword hilt.

We've heard it said in times of old
"Shun the Infadel, he is not good."
we believe that already their souls are sold.
Are we acting as we should?

Christianity the religion is full of wrong
Christianity the love and faith is the way.
Religion is rules, pages so long
But with Christian Faith, Jesus paved the way.

Has it been lost, the precious verse
"For we are saved not by acts"?
we are no longer under curse
have we shunned the good, true facts?

We are saved by grace
through faith and that not of our own
and so we can run the good christian race
because of the love Jesus has shown.

The critics cry "no gospel-preachers
who shove their way into foreign lands."
I am not trying to be a new teacher
but to spread the work of God's hands.

I do not wish to change your life
to believe myself better than you
I merely wish to relieve you of strife
and tell you what is true.

Should I withhold the precious Son
that set our spirits free?
just to not offend the ones
who will not believe me!

Not I! I march on through
and don't care if they wish me not
I'm gonna spread the happy news
with all the strength I've got.
