Leapt into the ocean
In a dream last night
Off a dock with my father
And we fell out of sight
Young & innocent
My years in this dream
Yet smoke rose from my hand
Through the liquid & gleam
Down a ladder wooden
On the dock’s edge we descended
Into a new place & time
‘Til the light above ended
Beneath the ocean we were
Though air did we breathe
Out of nowhere came figures
Who did plan to deceive
The longer we ventured
They knew all too well
Would not permit our return
From this place close to hell
Our time overstayed
Altered destiny’s path
At what point did we err
To partake such a wrath
I live out my days
Looking up through the glass
What once was my life
Now forever my past
God let me arise
From this pulsing nightmare
And wake up to the world
Whose lifeline I share
For eternity I repent
For whatever I’ve done
And never again be sent
To the dock on the ocean
