a glimpse into my mind on finding peace in love.
I live to move.
I live to be moved.
I live to move others.
I live for the consumation of experience.
An appreciation of beauty, an appreciation of everything.
I See it, I acknowledge it, and I never take it for granted.
For the future is tailored by someone else's design
and I am not giving in until all other options are exhausted.
So watch me exhaust myself with life,
and medicate myself with words.
By the time conformity comes a'knockin, I'll already be fast asleep
...and dreaming up dreams that only dreamers are meant to dream.

What dreams are these?

These dreams are meant to challenge the resolve of the human spirit,

To test the flighty theory of hope. Or love.
Whichever you prefer

… I preferred love.
I preferred the sentiment of such a thing;
the universal dream.

With what great strength do you pursue the musings of an ideal?

An ideal I admired, but chose to vanquish in isolation,
where every waking hour was devoted to the slow decay of all things good.
Of all things cherished in my youth.
Of all I was being prepared for,
I was being most prepared for you.

And one night angels danced for me when I took my pills.
They gathered by my ear, while I lingered on oblivion
and whispered to me songs once loved, but had forgotten.
Feeling chemicals in my brain, the last angel sang your song to me,
and after I seemed content to sleep, she spoke of the salvation you would bring…

She said:

“We are born to dream for the fairytale
then as we grow, we experience their destruction.
Each time we hurt for the dream,
our hearts desensitize a little bit more.
The fairytale becomes a nightmare
a rapid consumption of the soul.
The demons we idolized as children rape our innocence.
But still, We strive to be denied
and will die trying for a glimmer of that
incomprehensible beauty we call Love.
Have you seen that glimmer in my eye?
I know now what that means.
Every war is waged for a reason...
so take to the battlefield, suffer your wounds
and when you emerge,
you shall find victory in the eyes of a lover.
Give time a chance to bring him to you
I swear, young girl, not every apple is poisoned….”
