A story in the works, I will add things as I go along. |
About one-hundred years after the new millennium and 35 years after the Great war depleted the amount of life upon the Earth. The World had succumbed to it's fate of taking a step back in it's evolution, to live a life without technology, without cars or phones, few had guns because the metals were difficult to come by and times became more simple. And because of it's simplicity pepole used plants and herbs for healing and health, sickness still took hold of countless lives, but many remained strong. Like High School, people took up certain 'classes' which fit their needs and personalities. Most like ancient tribes of old, many lived in tent, huts or clay bricked structures. Old roads crumbled to nature's retake of the planet, wooden homes molded and rotting; but there were few of those stone built castles and homes which remained standing through the explosions and turmoil -those were claimed headquarters of the stronger groups. Honor was once again a virtue, even amongst the theives and killers, Valor was never short in either men or women, but Mercy was something fogotten in the hearts of hundreds. Fighting was more a way of life then eating or sleeping, a son would murder his own mother if it meant he'd get ahead in life or a higher status. There was not 'evil' or 'good' anymore, it was either with someone or against someone; and that growing philosophy of life bred a new type of person, Rogues. Those who sought to make the world right because it was so wrong. But because there were so few of these types, many believed them to be a mere myth or story you tell children at bedtime. This story tells of one of the last remaining Rogues; a woman, believe it or not, who was a test subject of the Stem Cell Reasearch facilities. Once the systems died and people ran for safety, she emerged as if reborn. This is her tale... |
