I see my generation deteriorating into a state of materialism and superficiality.
I see my generation descending into a state of madness,
Thinking that they are the ones who are the intelligent members of our species.
They are the ones who know only about the pop culture.
Who cares about anything else?

Fuck politics!
Fuck world issues!
Let the homeless starve
And let nations kill each other with their wars!

They don’t know what goes on around them
Because they are plugged into their mp3 players
And their television sets.

I watch in horror, as their minds are melted
By the junk they are fed by Hollywood.

Let us get our morals and beliefs from rap music
And action movies.
Let young girls dress like whores
And fuck any guy who looks at them.

I shudder as I think that one day
These are the ones who may one day
Rule the world.
