Pieces of You and Me

A Poet is your claim
Master of written verse
Hypnotizing me with your penned words
As your verse caresses my soul
I am engulfed in your world
as your words play kisses
gently upon my face.
It leaves me to wonder how I ever
Entered this place

Your words tell stories of love and pain
Sings me songs in raps and rhymes
Showing me of ways that should have been
Caressing me with the love that you give
Offering hope for the times I lost… letting me know you’re here no matter the cost

Whispering away all of my troubles
Telling me stories of my friends
Even though I am not always smiles and bubbles
Sometimes I smile and am forced to pretend.

You’re my inspiration you force to me to look deep within my heart
seeking those words of love
searching back to my start
these feelings I keep locked and I promise to never part
For you my love hold the key to this tangled up heart

So now I am the master of piecing these jumbled words together
trying to make them fit
Like a 1000 piece puzzle
some come light as a feather
others come heavy with a hit

my poems tell stories
Of riddles and rhymes
Some of love and pain
Some just plain crazy things
All hold pieces you see
Parts of a puzzle made up of me
Nothing special or fancy
But I promise you this I will make you smile
Maybe even shed a few tears
My stories might even make you think a little while
So come on in and sit awhile..
