Digging your toes in the sand.

Watch the sun set in a glory of colors,
Brilliant blues, greens, and reds.
The light explodes through the water,
Filtering softly down to the sand bed.

Turn away from all the beauty,
As you wipe a nostalgic tear from your eye.
Your footprints trail up the sand now,
Because to the ocean, you must say goodbye.
