The love of Samantha's life has gone to war. Will he return? |
Prologue Poem Beauty is something that blossoms, Something that blooms in Spring. It sparkles and shimmers And it gives you shivers Even on warm evenings. But the greatest type of beauty Is found only in the heart. It is something that lasts forever And can never fall apart. It's a beauty like that of flowers, A beauty that can never be tamed. A beauty that makes us whole And makes our hearts enflamed. It makes our souls ignite And it fills us with a light. A beauty more precious than diamonds Or the moonbeams shining down tonight. I know the name of this Beauty And surely you know too. A heavenly, heart-felt beauty That fills us now, Now, while I'm looking into your eyes, And as you look into mine. The beauty that makes you touch me And lets us kiss So blissfully. Yet now you're torn away from me. War tears the love That made us free And cages me In misery. You're gone and now cannot return. My bitter tears inside me burn. The inferno that was my loving passion Is now blazing in a hateful fashion. The hate that took you in Death's fist Is now what I cling to, Just to exist. Acknowledgment of this truth Makes these last months of my life A lie. And maybe this is what led me To cry, pray to God, And die. |
