Erm, this is sort of a poem. But it doesnt always follow the rules. And its kid of weak.
I’m running, it’s dark
The grass is wet, the moon is high,
The wind brushes me with a sigh.
As the blood drips from my mouth
A cold wind hits me from the south.
I’ve taken life to sustain my own,
Now I’d better go on home
To the room with the child
So softly asleep
Dreaming dreams incredibly sweet.
I was once a peaceful child,
But now my soul is black and wild.
By day I’m girl,
By night I’m monster
I can’t fight that side any longer.
I’ve given in, gave up the fight,
Allowed the dark to kill the light.
A bit of me may still claw out,
And cause the monster precious doubt
A pause in the moment
Allows the prey to flee,
Running on two human feet.
So close your eyes and lock your door,
You can’t do much more.
Keep your young ones by your side,
And teach them how to run and hide.
Humanity has now left me
To be the monster I can be.
And when the moon is in the sky,
I’ll walk down the street, head held high.
Searching for food, so easy to take.
A homeless man, hungry and weak,
Is a delicious snack for me to sneak.
A wandering dog, a wayward cat,
Makes my stomach warm and fat.
And though your stomach roils with disgust,
Blood is the only thing that I lust.
And if we meet face to face,
Do not run, I like to chase.
I’ll fight myself the more you fight,
And perhaps you’ll live to see morning’s light.
I am the predator, you are the prey,
But our role switches in the day.
Then, I sleep or wander pale,
Covered in layers, over hill and dale.
In the sun’s warmth I find my curse,
Already bad, becomes much worse.
Then I can stumble, I can fall,
I am as mortal as you all.
My black soul cannot stand
Against the life of the land
If then we meet, take a stake in hand,
And kill the terror of your land.
