The sequel to Mix-Matched and Making Up and Making New.
Evette walked down the lonely halls. Being single and having no friends can really get to a girl. She walked swiftly until she saw someone coming from ahead. It was a boy, he had long hair that ended about his eyes, which were brown. His hair was brown, too. He was seemingly coming form somewhere, but Evette didn't know where. When he passed by Evette she stopped him.

"Hey there." She smiled.

"Uhh, hi?" The boy replied confused.

"I don't recognize you, where are you from?" She started to fiddle with his hair.

He grabbed her hand and brought it down, "I just came here a few days ago, out of state." He walked away from Evette, and she was very mad then!

Oh my god! What's going wrong? I have no friends and boys won't even pay attention to me and my beauty! Evette thought. She kept walking, slower than normal. She passed by one room, and heard some loud giggling and shouting. Evette put her head to the door and heard something about a proposal. So Arden is getting married, now is she? Well I'll have to fix that. Evette strolled down to the lounge. She saw a group of girls and whispered something in one of their ears. When she heard what Evette said, she gasped then told the whole group, who told some passing people. Then told their friends, and told other friends. Evette walked over and sat in a chair, far away from anyone and watched the show.

Arden was in the library, researching Abe Lincoln for a term paper, when she heard news about a fight in the main hall. "Who is it this time?" She asked the girl sitting at the computer next to her.

"Steven and some Brett guy is what I heard."

"WHAT?!" Arden yelled, jumping from her chair. The librarian scolded her, but she didn't care, Arden just ran out the door towards the main hall. She got there within the instant and saw the crowd surrounding two boys. Before she could break through to the fight, she ran into someone. "Get out of my way!"

"Arden! It's Devon you dope!" Devon joked.

"Oh, sorry I didn't see you there! But I need to get in there!" Arden spoke noticing Tristen behind Devon. Devon nodded and let Arden pass to get to the fight.

~~~
Steven easily heard the rumors that spread faster than fire. He was furious when he heard! Steven walked down the hall when he spotted Brett. He marched up to him and pushed him against the wall. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Walking?" Brett teased.
"You know what I mean. You can't marry my women!"
"I do believe that she's my women now Steven." Brett said pushing Steven away from himself. When he did that, Steven punched him in the stomach, making Brett double over in pain. "See what you get." Steven started to walk away, then Brett knocked him in the back of the head. Steven swiveled around and punched Brett in the nose. Blood spewed and the fight continued. They knocked the stuffing out of each other until Arden stepped inbetween them. She put up her hands to get the boys to stop, but Steven was too caught up in the fight to notice and accidentally punched Arden instead of Brett. She screamed in agony and fell to the floor. She felt her cheek and blood dripped from her finger.
"You two are monsters!" She yelled and ran away in distraught.
"ARDEN!" Devon and Brett yelled in unison.
Brett stood there watching Arden, as Steven punched him in the jaw, knocking him out. He fell to the floor, out cold.
"Arden! Wait!" Devon called after her; she started to run when something grabbed her hand, holding her back. She turned to see Tristen. "Let go!"
"No Devon, what about Brett? Arden is fine, she just needs some alone time, we need to deal with Brett and Steven." Tristen looked concerned.
"But-but...Oh OK. We'll help Brett first..." Devon gave in. They walked up to the center of the crowd to where Brett was. Steven ran off somewhere before they got there. "Wake up Brett." Devon whispered, slapping Brett's cheeks. "Wake up, WAKE UP!" Devon got louder and louder and slapped harder and harder each time Brett didn't wake.
Tristen put a hand on her shoulder, "He won't wake for a while. I'll help bring him to your dorm thenI'll go search for Steven." Devon nodded and they picked up Brett and dragged him to Devon's dorm.
~~~

Arden sat on her bed, crying silent tears. Her hands were on her face, covering them with salty water. She had been crying for only a few minutes when a knock on the door came. "GO AWAY!" Arden screeched, but whoever it was opened the door anyway. Arden looked up then screamed again, "GO AWAY!"

"No, Arden." Steven walked into the room and sat on the bed next to her. She scrambled away from him, standing up straight. "Why are you so afraid from me?" Steven questioned.

"First of all, you were a horrible boyfriend! Second you cheated on Devon, my best friend! And third, you just punched me!" She started crying again, but didn't cover her eyes. She needed to see Stevens every move, that was her mistake last time.

"Arden, Arden, Arden. You know those are all lies and you still love me," He cooed, getting closer to Arden rubbing her arm.

She snatched her arm away from him, "NO I DON"T!"

"Then you will." Steven smirked then walked towards Arden. She backed away, but Steven got ahold of her and threw her the opposite way on the bed. She landed with a thud and was about to get up when Steven was on top of her, "You can't get away this time."

~~~
"Damn Brett is heavy! Why'd he have to have so much damn muscles?" Devon whined, half-way to her dorm.
"I don't know, oh yeah I do! He's on the football team!" Tristen noted sarcastically.
"Urg." Devon groaned, being told by her own weapon.
It took a total of ten minutes to get Brett to Devon's dorm and get him on the bed.
"OK, I'm going to go find Steven." Tristen ran out the door but Devon's call held him back. "What?"
"If I know Steven, the rude, evil, shitbag one, he'll be with Arden." Devon frowned. "I just hope we're not too late...
Tristen didn't take that lightly and ran out the door. He headed towards Arden's room and opened the door without warning. He saw Steven on the bed, and Arden struggling underneath him. Tristen ran up to them, grabbed Steven by the collar and pulled him back. Steven flew to the floor by Tristen's unexpected strength. "Are you OK?" Tristen asked Arden putting out a hand to help her up.
"Yeah I think so." She mumbled. She looked up and saw Steven getting up about to attack Tristen. "TRISTEN!" He turned around just in time and caught Steven by the arms. Tristen then pushed him away and punched him in the jaw.
Blood dripped from Steven's mouth, "You'll pay for that." Steven stood up and punched Tristen in the stomach. He grabbed his stomach, then whacked Steven in the head making him fall over. Tristen kicked Steven on the ground, then walked over to Arden.
"Let's go Arden." Tristen held out a hand that Arden grabbed, then they ran out the door. They ran to his dorm, just to get away from Steven.
"Thanks Tristen. I was wrong about you. I'm sorry." Arden admitted.
"That's OK." He patted her on the shoulder, "But are you OK?"
"Yeah I think so..." Arden said. "I think I can go back now."
"OK, be careful." Tristen added as she left. He laid back on his pillow and thought to himself, A job well done, ha ha. I'm a superhero! He fell asleep within the instant.
~~~

Brett woke up about an hour after the fight. "Wha? Where am I?"

"Your in my dorm." Devon spoke turning around, she positioned herself towards the TV on the couch. She got up and walked over to her bed. "Feel better?" Devon asked.

"Yeah. A little." He said sitting up. "Is Arden OK?"

"Yeah, Tristen went to go find her and Steven. They should be fine." She calmed him. "You should sleep some more."

"No. I'm finding Arden." He tried to get up, but groaned and fell back.

"Told ya." Devon winked and put an ice pack to his head. "Do you have a major headache?"

"Yes..." He took the ice pack with his hand and moved it slightly. "Nighty-night..." And Brett fell asleep.

"Nighty-night." Devon whispered, walking back to the couch, turning on the TV.

~~~
A boy roamed the halls. He was wearing a jacket and jeans and tennis shoes. He had blood dripping from his mouth, staining the floor. He walked up to a group of guys and they welcomed him. The boy said something to them and the guys gave him kudos. Saying, "Yeah dude!", "That's awesome!", "Amazing", and, "Wish that was me!" The boy left soon after, to let the guys tell the entire school.
THE NEXT DAY
Brett rushed up to Arden, who was with Devon, in the main hall. He started to yell about something but Arden and Devon had no idea what he was saying.
"BRETT! What the hell are you saying?" Devon snapped.
"ARDEN! WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?" Brett screamed.
"What? What did I do?" Arden asked confused, but secretly she knew what he thought, which made her cry inside.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK?! YOU- AND-...STEVEN! WHY?"
"OK, again I ask, what the hell are you saying Brett?" Devon asked.
"ARDEN AND STEVEN HIT IT OFF LAST NIGHT!" Brett yelled out loud for everyone to hear. Some people looked over, but turned away since they already knew, and others cocked their nosy faces towards them to listen to the conversation. And Devon gasped, jaw wide, gawking at Arden.
"I didn't." Arden whispered, trying to hold back tears.
"YEAH RIGHT! I KNOW YOU DID ARDEN DON'T LIE TO ME!"
"I DIDN'T" She screeched, then ran off to her dorm. But she was stopped by Tristen, who grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Arden, let's tell them the truth." Tristen whispered in her ear. She nodded and they walked back to Brett and Devon.
"Care to explain?" Brett asked. Devon couldn't speak, but mouthed expressions of insanity.
Tristen spoke, "I caught Steven forcing himself on Arden. She was forced and was relieved when I saved her. She never wanted anyone to know about this, just between the three of us. But I just Steven opened his god damn mouth and blabbed to the world." Devon sighed with relief and Brett was now the one gawking.
"I told you. You shouldn't believe everything you hear." Arden whispered. She turned and walked to her dorm. Devon rushed to Tristen and gave him a big hug.
"Thank you." She whispered in his ear. Devon let go and looked in his eyes.
"No problem, it's my job." He smiled and Devon hugged him again. She ran to Arden after that, who was dragging herself down the hall. "Brett, you just made a big mistake." Tristen said.
"Yeah...I know..." Brett frowned. He turned around to walk to his dorm, leaving Tristen by himself.
"THANKS GUYS! I'M ALL ALONE NOW!" Tristen joked to the sky. Then he just walked to his dorm, thinking about what just happened.
THE NEXT DAY
Brett just came back from football pratice. He unlocked his dormroom and walked in. He noticed something shiny on his bed, pillow actually. He walked up to it and say the engagement ring he gave to Arden. I blew it...She'll never forgive me now... and he cried himself to sleep that night.
