just a dream

just a dream that's out of reach
burning within my soul
like trying to touch the stars above
you are an impossible goal.

ever present in all i do
just when i feel the dream is gone
you come back around day after day
the dream goes on and on.

i question the reality
of this wonderful dream i have
will it bring true happiness
or will it make me sad?

is this dream here to stay
until it comes true?
or will it burn out like a shooting star?
i only wish i knew.
