Just a poem about my yearning for a fairy tale life.
I always wanted my life to be a fairy tale
To face a villian head on and still prevail
To fall in love with a handsome prince
But to fight the dragon myself -- and not be tense
The whole allure of fairy tales
Is that in the beginning things are a mess
But the princess always ends up
Married in a pretty dress
That same allure isn't found in my life
Everything's nice enough, nice enough to cause me strife
Fairy tales wouldn't be the same
If it started with the happy ending
How is there to be a story
If there's no problem to be mending?
