I didnt know the world was straight?

  Nic woke up that morning, in an almost trance like state. He spent most of the previous night thinking about the girl he met a couple days ago. He still couldnt remember her name too well, but he could NOT forget her face

  "it was only two or three days ago" nic remembered.

  "the skirt, the shirt, and the way she fixed my collar" he laughed as he continued to remember.

He was in the shower now.
  "8th grade prom is coming up, i wonder is she has a date? probably. ill just casually ask for her number, then call..." he though on like that for a while until the shower became suddenly cold. He left home with lots of confidents.


                            -Later at the BMS Gym-

  He went to the gym as soon as 1st block ended. He got there, and she wasnt there yet. so he walked around a bit, until he saw her. She looked really good. He talked to her, cassually, finding out that her name was Lyn-Z.

Nic was late for class that day. after class, he rushed back to the gymt to catch her. he did. then- all of a sudden. All of the confidents he had was GONE!!! but he went on to ask for her number. he got it. along with a ^.^ drawn next to it. The rest of the day at school was forgotten.

Nic got home that day, dropped his bag, walked the dogs, then mounted his bike. it had been an hour before he remembered. as soon as he did, he put his bike on the 21st speed and flew home.

Once he got in, he dialed the number, hung up, then dialed it again. Before he hung up, she answered.

The conversation went something like this:


"Ello?"-lynz
"uh, is lynz there"- nic
"this is she"-lynz
"Its nic"
"oh, hi"
"So uhh... the dance is coming up, are you going with anyone?"
"i dont think so"
"want to go with me"-nic

LynZ proceeded to tell him that she would have to think. She was getting ready for a choral concert at school. He went. He showered. and got dressed. and he went.
The concert was good. But nic swore he heard/saw someone behing the curtains laughing at him. After the show, he saw her and told her how good the show was. He was walking home when her parents offered him a ride home. It was an offer he could not refuse.
