one of my wierdest dreams...
Fascinated I was, and fascinated you would have been, had you been swimming in the bright, blue, whispering waters of the sea. Water, water and water everywhere.
Suddenly it turned pitch dark as if the moon had been eclipsed. My movements became restricted. I tried gropingin the dark to hold onto something, but in vain. I felt like a prisoner, desparate and restless. It made no sense at all. I seemed to be floating in a warm liquid. Sharp edges pinched me hither and thither. And within a fraction of a second, the puzzle fell into place.
I was inside the shark's stomach! The realisation made me sick. I could feel my heart beating violently against my chest. I was nervous and panicky.
Gradually, I let my head win over my emotions. I tried to calm myself and succeeded ultimately. It then occurred to me that I had a penknife tucked under my waist belt. One stretch of hand and the knife was pulled free. Slowly and cautiously I crawled towards the shark's mouth and waited patiently for it to open its mouth. It proved to be a long wait. Every minute brought me closer to death.
Not being able to get sufficient oxygen, I braced myself for plan B. Holding the knife tightly in my right hand, I scratched the palate of the shark with all the force I could use in that uncomfortable position. As I had anticipated, the shark twisted in pain and opened its mouth.Without losing a second, I fixed the knife vertically between its upper and lower jaws which froze the deadly animal.
Avoiding the sharp edged jaws, I had almost crawled out while the animal in pain twisted frantically.
It was precisely at that moment that the knife pierced through and the shark closed its mouth with my foot inside. The scream of terror broke my slumber and I found myself perspiring profusely, still shocked from the dream which I had been seeing on account of an imaginary dicussion that we'd had the same day.
