Falling away from you.
Questioning,
If I will ever really be close to you.
Wondering,
How it got this way.
Hoping,
This isn't how it'll stay.

I'm swimming in sorrow,
I'm sinking in pain.
Wanting this feeling to leave me.
Probably won't,
I'll be stuck feeling this way.
Just wanting somebody to save me.

Nobody notices the self inflicted wounds.
Nobody ever will.
I'm hoping that someone asks if I'm ok.
But I'll lie anyway.
Probably better if they don't.
But doesn't anyone see that this smile is fake?
