Abstract poem to describe a short story.
Fleeting Image
By: Luke D. Neisen

Oh, nameless shadow,
Melding with the night like the dew of the grass.
Passing by swifter than you came.

Terrifying, perilous,
Even the depths fear your arrival;
Though they always know your presence.

Not one can hide from your onyx cloak.

Turn around and ease my pain,
Let this night be the night of my final breath;
Take me away,
So that the unsteadied blade of the heathens do not slaughter me,
But that of your chaotic essence.

Thus, awake!

I call you, this single moment,
Let the greaves of our foes feel the shake of your might.
Only one that can make the fearless feel peril,
I summon you to these scarred lands.

Scar them once more,
Have the blood of them fall from the sky,
They shall feel such terror unlike any other.

Oh, arise,
The time of the final dawn has come;
The final dawn of those which oppose you.

They say you have no power,
You do not exist.

Ha! Fools!

Shall they tread upon your grave and laugh for another moment!?

Nay, arise!
