A story a bought a guy who say goodbye to his friend, but in all the wrong ways.
Saying goodbye
Some temporary, some for life
Some with a smile on your face
Some, with tears streaming
Probably the hardest thing you’ve had to do,
Saying goodbye.

One night, one night to change them all,
I remember it all so clearly.
12:59p.m.
The rain’s pouring down
Pounding on all below
The moon at a half glare
Partially shielded from the thick cover of clouds
Black, as a shadow
A Street light is the place.
The one place where I can never go back
If you ask why, you’ll soon find out
Because that’s what its all about
That’s what it’s always been about, since that fateful day

My friend,
The one who stood by me for all life’s turns and mysteries.
Haunted by the death of his mother
He was forced to do what he thought he had to do,
He was forced, to do the un-thinkable
He took up his punishing item and went over to do…
Well I cannot say, but after the deed was done, he had no where to go
Shunned by life, society… everything.
He had no hiding spot, so he ran
Ran and ran
Impossible to tell the tears from a trapped, tortured soul
from those of the raindrops, smashing his skin
This day, this rain, was not as it always was.
The rain was hot and burned the skin at a touch
Tripping at the street light, was the last place he would run
He turned, facing the cops and with his hand
Pulled it out
But before he could complete his motion he was… well, figure it out.

You may ask how I know all this
Well… I was the one
The law, the justice, his soul reliever

That’s how I said goodbye,
My last goodbye
Hand trembling, heart racing
And my words… well the only one released was a noise.
A bang
So never leave the possibility of never saying goodbye
Always live the way you would if this was yours or anybody’s last day
