There, sitting detached
The gleam of pearl
Veiled windows to the mind
Glittering, inviting
Many facets of ruby
Flowing effortlessly
Whose dappled banks
Lack only imperfection

What to value such:
That within reach
Save for a wall of paper
Fragile beauty partially obscures
The two in harmony,
A vision indescribable

To attempt to hold
A jewel so precious
Or wonder from afar
Not disturbing the course
