Before I Left

This heart of mine was starting to break,
It was too much for one child to take.
From pools of pain,
To the grieving lakes.

My mind was dead and gone.
There was nowhere I belong.
My life was dying slowly,
What more could go wrong?

Drifting in silent as night,
Where death and I came to fight.
My life said one last good bye,
With happy tears in my eyes.
One-day things will be all right.
