Calm Night in the Forest
Sweat dripping down from my pores,
Exhausted for all the escaping.
Resting my fatigued body on a cool damp rock
Wishing that a depressed wind would show mercy,
And give me a breeze
Relaxing my ears to the river’s soft and tender voice
As it moves downstream
Stomach’s growling viciously as if I was
Trying to invade a wolf’s territory
Salmons swimming upstream to see their young being born
Broke off a branch that is sturdy enough
To endure the stress of pulling back
Took the shoe strings inbetween boots to make a fishing line
Only to have no bait,
A berry bush sitting in the shadow of an Oak Tree
The camp fire is warm like a mother’s touch
The dark sky is cloudy because the night is frustrated
The moon is frowning down
Knowing that the sun will take his place
The atmosphere is so pure, purer than spring water
The owl is hooting, and the crickets are singing
What a beautiful voice, sort of like a song
So relaxing, nature’s lullaby
