ROADS
Pathways to everything.
Left fork could lead to a dream, right to doom,
straight away to a new life.
Freeways extend as far as one deems.
Roads are choices, to be taken or not.
Detours occur, and can lead astray.
But exits become available
to turn your life around.
Rest stops are plentiful
giving you a break, time to ponder, before going on.
All along the roads signs advertise it all,
promising, enticing, hindering your way.
But the roads go on, bypassing them all.
The roads are silent,
leading in no way, leaving all choices to its traveler.
What you will do is your decision alone.
What road to travel is your choice in life.
But never forget, there are many roads
leading everywhere and nowhere,
welcoming all who will come.
Anywhere, anytime
you can leave the road you're on
to travel another road
to another life or
to another road.
